PowerPoint Presentations

The PowerPoint® presentations listed below represent a status report on Coal Mine Safety and Health's ongoing efforts to identify practical engineering and administrative noise controls for certain types of mining equipment. The controls presented are examples of controls that CMS&H believes can be successfully applied to various types of mining equipment. In some cases, specific results of using certain controls are given. However, if applied to your equipment, you may achieve different results, depending on the condition of your mining equipment.

The presentations represent the findings of six CMS&H Noise Teams. These teams have been working since July to identify practical engineering and administrative noise controls for specific types of mining equipment. Each presentation covers a different type or types of equipment. Our plan is to update the presentations to include more detailed information in the near future.

Each of the presentations are provided to you in two formats. They may be viewed/downloaded as PowerPoint® presentations or as HTML.
