COAL MINE FATALITY - On Friday, November 10, a heavy equipment operator positioned a rock truck beneath the discharge apparatus of a refuse bin structure. The cone shaped rock chute portion suddenly separated from the refuse bin and fell along with approximately 150 tons of refuse, onto the rock truck fatally injuring the equipment operator.

This is the 40th coal mine fatality in 1995. As of November 10, last year there had been 38 fatalities. This death is the 2nd classified as FALL OF MATERIAL in 1995.
