METAL/NONMETAL MINE FATALITY - On November 3, 1995, a laborer with 27 years of mining experience was killed at a lime mill. There were no witnesses to the accident. The employee was assigned to load metal tote bins with lime. The forklift he had been using was found parked with the ignition off. A diving team found the employee submerged in water near the plant's boat dock. The victim drowned. This is the 42nd fatality reported in calendar year 1995 in the metal and nonmetal mining industries. As of this date in 1994, there were 35 fatalities reported in these industries. This death is the first fatality caused by drowning this year. The
