This is the 15^th and 16^th fatality reported in calendar year 2001 in the metal and nonmetal mining industries. As of this date in 2000, there were 18 fatalities reported in these industries. This is the 2nd and 3rd fatality classified as Fall of Roof/Back/Rib in 2001. There were no Fall of Roof/Back/Rib fatalities in the same period in 2000.
