Lift truck drivers must verify that wheels have been chocked prior to entering a trailer. Accidents, as pictured here, frequently kill the operator in addition to destroying the lift truck. Often the driver is not wearing a seat belt. Lift trucks should be equipped with seat belts. Older lifts that originally did not come with seat belts can be retrofitted with them. Operators should wear seat belts.
