The Mine Safety and Health Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor will hold a recognition ceremony Monday, April 24, to honor members of mine rescue teams who participated in search and recovery efforts during a mine emergency in Green River, Wyo., last February.
The ceremony will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the Rock Springs, Wyo., Holiday Inn at 7 p.m., and the community is invited to attend.
J. Davitt McAteer, assistant secretary of labor for mine safety and health, will acknowledge the mine rescue teams with certificates and letters of appreciation. "We want to publicly thank those individuals who participated in the rescue effort," said McAteer.
