WASHINGTON -Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health Administration Dave D. Lauriski will hold a news media briefing today Sept. 27, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mine Safety and Health Administration's Birmingham, Ala., office regarding the investigation into the explosion at the Jim Walter No. 5 Mine.
