Federal Mine-Safety Chief to Address Utah Mining Association
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health Dave D. Lauriski will address the 87th Annual Convention of the Utah Mining Association in Park City on Thursday, September 12. He will discuss the Mine Safety and Health Administration's participation in the rescue of nine miners who were trapped for 77 hours in the Quecreek Mine, Somerset County, Pa., as well as current agency initiatives to improve mine safety and health performance.
