Top Mine Safety Official to Tour Yavapai Materials Operation
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. - Dave D. Lauriski, assistant secretary of labor for mine safety and health, will visit Ft. McDowell Yavapai Materials on Wednesday, March 31, 2004. Over the past three years, the Yavapai Nation-owned sand and gravel operation has logged more than 58,000 hours without an accident. Following the mine tour, Lauriski will attend a luncheon honoring the mine operation for its commendable safety record.
