Top Federal Mine Safety Official to Tour
Doe Run's Sweetwater Mine and Mill
REYNOLDS, Mo. - Dave D. Lauriski, assistant secretary of labor for mine safety and health, will visit the Doe Run Co. Sweetwater Mine and Mill on Thursday, April 8, in Reynolds, Mo. Lauriski will meet with mine employees at 9 a.m. The mine tour will follow at 10 a.m.
Sweetwater Mine won a prestigious Sentinels of Safety award in 2003 for working 163,030 hours in 2002 without an accident or fatality. The St. Louis-based Doe Run Co. is the largest integrated lead producer in North America.
