MSHA Assistant Secretary to Speak at
Mine Ventilation Symposium in Anchorage, Alaska
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Dave D. Lauriski, assistant secretary of labor for mine safety and health, will give the keynote address titled "Creating a Culture of Prevention in Mine Safety and Health" at the 10th U.S./North American Mine Ventilation Symposium on Monday, May 17. The speech is scheduled for delivery at the Holiday Inn in Anchorage, Alaska.
Proper ventilation of mines is critical to the health and safety of miners. Lauriski will speak about advances in ventilation design and technology and new regulations to reduce occupational illnesses among miners.
