Mine Inspector Job Fairs Canceled in Alaska, Idaho, Washington
Reno, Nev., Applicant Screening Still Set for Feb. 19


ARLINGTON, Va. - The U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) announced today that on-site applicant screening sessions for metal/nonmetal mine safety and health inspector positions set for Feb. 21 in Anchorage, Alaska; Feb. 23 in Seattle; and Feb. 25 in Boise, Idaho, have been canceled.

Interested applicants in those areas are encouraged to attend the on-site mine inspector applicant screening set for Feb. 19, 2005, in Reno, Nev., at the Hilton Hotel, 2500 E. Second St., at 7 a.m.

Applicants may be accepted for testing as a walk-in candidate at the Reno location, subject to space availability.
