MSHA Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary to Speak at Joint Western Regional Safety Conference
RENO, Nev. - Robert Friend, acting deputy assistant secretary of labor for mine safety and health, will give a speech at the first Joint Western Regional Safety Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, in Reno, Nevada. Friend will talk about workplace safety and effective safety communication.
The Mine Safety and Health Administration is one of the conference sponsors, along with mining industry agencies and representatives from government and education.
