One Call Does it All!
Miners and mine operators! We've got your number! And you should take note. That number is 1-800-746-1553.

Hello, I'm Bob Friend with the Mine Safety and Health Administration.

New Federal mining law directs that mine operators contact MSHA within 15 minutes of any serious mining accident or risk a significant civil penalty. All mine operators across the country should be aware that the proper number to call, to avoid this penalty, is 1-800-746-1553.

Working miners who need to anonymously report uncorrected hazards at their worksite should also call MSHA immediately. The number to use is the same-1-800-746-1553.

    One call does it all!

When accidents occur, MSHA needs to know. When miners see hazards in the workplace that are not being removed, MSHA needs to know. And one call does it all. That's 1-800-746-1553.

    Thank you for listening.
