Harold Riffle


HAROLD RIFFLE


Harold Riffle was selected as a team member in 1968 when International Salt Company established their first team at the Cleveland Mine. During Harold’s 33- year career as a team member, he participated in several mine emergencies, including two fires at the Cleveland Mine. Harold’s team competed in 25 Regional Contests. He also served as team captain for many years. During that period, Harold’s team competed at 8 National Mine Rescue Contests; winning second, fourth and sixth place trophies. Harold retired from the mining industry in 2001 and is currently enjoying life with his family in Ohio.
