Weekly Examinations and Tests of Permissible Diesel powered Equipment

Section 75.1914(f) requires that all permissible diesel-powered equipment be examined and tested weekly by a qualified person using approved checklists. To assist coal mine operators in complying with this requirement, MSHA has developed a generic weekly inspection checklist. This checklist is available in HTML or in PDF. This check list, which is part of Program Information Bulletin (PIB97-28) identifies those items typically found on permissible diesel-powered equipment that must be checked weekly to meet the requirements of §75.1914(f)(1).
