The following photos are from a "Stay Out'stay Alive" program held in Grand Junction, Colorado. MSHA Safety and Health Inspector Brad Allen spoke with more than 50 students at Chipeta Elementary School about the dangers they can encounter at abandoned and active mines. He also demonstrated tools and equipment that are used to protect miners.
