An Egg Harbor Township man was seriously injured while riding an ATV in a "No Trespassing" area of the township.

Police say just after 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, the 21 year-old man injured his back while attempting a 20 to 25 foot jump on his dirt bike at Bob's Gravel Pit off Zion Road in the Scullville section of the township.

Area residents say these accidents are all too common in the area despite the "No Trespassing" signs, "I hope that now they will finally put barriers up there, metal barriers or what ever they have to do to keep them out of there and maybe find a place for them to go," said area resident Linda Ribera.

Residents say the police do a good job at trying to stop people when complaints are made.

Meanwhile, police say charges are pending since no one should be riding in that location.
