Scuba Diver Rescued
An Illinois man scuba diving in a quarry had to be rescued and hospitalized.
According to the quarry owner, the diver called for help after he reported feeling cold and having difficulty breathing. He swam approximately 50 yards before other divers were able to help bring him ashore and administer CPR.
The quarry is a popular location for swimmers and scuba divers, attracting around 5,000 visitors yearly. Of the 200 people there at the time of the incident, close to 125 had the training to respond appropriately to this type of crisis.
