07/10/2004
An 8-year-old boy was trapped for 10 minutes without air after his ATV rolled on top of him as he rode in a Stratford, N.H., gravel pit. The youngster was listed in critical condition at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he was airlifted after getting emergency treatment at nearby Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster. He and a friend were riding unsupervised when the 4-wheeler flipped. He suffered injuries to his head and lungs. (Source: The Union Leader)
