March 6, 2006 Explosives Found in Abandoned Mine A Utah Division of Wildlife Resources biologist found dynamite in an abandoned mine while studying a species of bats living there. He reported finding 24 sticks of deteriorated nitroglycerin dynamite on a shelf and nitroglycerin from the dynamite had leaked onto the shelf. The explosives and shelf were removed and destroyed. |
