July 5, 2007 A 22 year-old man was killed when his truck plunged over the edge of a Springfield, Wisconsin quarry. Five others were injured when the vehicle fell 70 feet into the quarry after they watched a July Fourth fireworks display last night. Authorities believe the driver might have been mistaken about his location on the property. The entrance to the quarry is blocked by a locked gate. All five passengers, aged 20-22, were taken to University Hospital in Madison, where one is listed in critical condition. |
