Fatal Accident Summaries for 2007 |

July 10, 2007 A Chapel Hill teenager drowned Monday night at an old quarry in the Eno River. The Orange County Sheriff's Office says the 18-year-old jumped into the water to get an inflatable raft. Once near the raft, witnesses say he called for help and then went under. The quarry is up to 60 feet deep in some spots. It is estimated to be 35 feet deep where the victim drowned. |
