Stay Out Stay Alive Fatal Accident Summaries

A 31 year-old man was killed Sunday, Jan. 11, when he lost control and drove a race car off a quarry pit cliff, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim recently purchased the dirt race car and was driving it in a clay pit quarry when he lost control. The car fell an estimated 40-50 feet to the bottom of the quarry, the Sheriff’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
