Accident Information File
A 16-year-old Hunterdon Co., N.J., boy was killed when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving in a closed quarry apparently went over a 35-foot-high-cliff. A search party found his body the next morning in the Pattenburg Quarry. The ATV and his helmet were found near the body. The boy apparently was riding by himself, and police said his ATV had no operable break system and a poor tire tread.
