An Ash Grove, Mo., man died in a quarry in northwest Greene County during a swimming excursion. The 19-year-old man was with some friends at the Phoenix quarry in rural Greene County near Ash Grove when he apparently lost his footing and fell in. A Greene County law enforcement official said alcohol was involved in the accident, and that trespassing charges could be filed against the other young people at the quarry.
