The body of a man who had been missing for 11 days was found July 31 in the waters of a Dayton, Ohio gravel pit. The victim disappeared July 20 after telling family members he was going fishing and swimming in the pit. Divers and firefighters in boats searched the pit's waters for a week but could not find him. His body eventually was spotted just below the water's surface by a detective.
