03/30/2002 An 8-year-old boy slid down a 60-foot embankment to his death in a water-filled old slate quarry in Northampton Co., Penn. Friends of the youngster ran for help, but rescue workers were unable to revive him. According to police, every year several people are arrested for trespassing at the quarry. |
