06/16/2002 Rescue workers pulled the body of a 14-year-old boy from a murky rock pit in Broward County, Fla., hours after he disappeared during a rowboat ride with a group of friends. The eight youths were aboard a 12- to 14-foot rowboat when it capsized. All but one swam toward shore immediately, while the victim swam after the oar. His friends never saw him again.
