A 17-year-old male died at a popular swimming hole in Websterville, Vt. The Barre Town Police responded to a report that a swimmer, seen going under water, did not resurface. Divers from the Montpelier Police Department were called in to recover the body, which took approximately one hour. The No. 6 Quarry Hold is an abandoned quarry that is clearly posted off limits. A close neighbor said that it is a constant worry for residents who watch swimmers walking to and from the hole on a regular basis, despite warning and no trespassing signs. (Source: The Times Argus)
