06/08/2002 Pueblo, Colo., rescue crews found the body of a teenage girl who drowned the day before, and the coroner's office searched for relatives of a man who died trying to save her. Divers found the 14-year-old girl's body about 50 yards from an inlet. She and her 9-year-old sister had been on a family fishing outing when they waded into an old gravel pit with a misleading shelf that drops straight off. A man, in his early 20s and not related to the young girl, jumped into the water to try and rescue her, but perished himself. |
