The body of a 19-year-old Pensacola man was discovered at the bottom of a Warrington, Fla., pond, about 16 hours after he disappeared. The Escambia County Sheriff's Office rescue and dive team found the body of the victim about 30 yards off the shore of the former commercial sand pit. He had gone swimming with a group of friends when he disappeared. A Sheriff's Office spokesman said the victim began to struggle and tire as he and friends tried to swim across the pond. "A few of them made it to the other side. And when they turned around and looked back, he wasn't there," said the spokesman. "A couple of them jumped back in and tried to find him, but they weren't successful." (Source: Pensacola News Journal)
