Technical Information Center and Library - National Mine Health and Safety Academy


In 1976, the National Mine Health and Safety Academy's Library located in Beckley, West Virginia, was created to provide comprehensive and integrated information services in the area of mine safety and health.

In 1978, a second Library was opened in Denver. In 1996, The Denver Library was closed and all holdings were moved to Beckley and integrated into that collection.

The Library has developed a tradition of excellence as an integral part of MSHA's mission - improving the health and safety of our Nation's miners.
