In the previous photo where they downsloped the material, they just dumped material over the edge until it was able to hold a berm the proper height (as shown in red here). But as soon as a truck wheel or anything else hits this, its not going to have the strength to compact. Its just going to collapse. So this berm will definitely not even help direct you back on the road. It will just collapse under the tire, as soon as the tire hits it.
