On Thursday, March 29, 2007, he was also recognized with a Holmes Certificate of Honor at a meeting of the Lonesome Pine Council of the Joseph A. Holmes Safety Association. The meeting was held in conjunction with a Coal Expo sponsored by Carroll Engineering at The Inn in Norton, Virginia. Approximately 75 individuals were in attendance for the meeting, including Mr. Bull's wife. Again, we would like to commend Hershel on his exceptional accomplishment in coal mine safety.
