Duty 18: Install Pan Line Conduct exam Obtain and examine tools and materials Chisel Hammer Rags Ladies slipper Punch Screw driver 1" wire rope slings (25 and 35 feet) Rock bars T-boards Crib blocks Set pans Tram to the pan line storage area Load two pans on the duck bill scoop Position the pan line on the duck bill scoop so that the operator can see the sigma on the face side Use sigma as a guide to align the pan line with the sigma on the previous pan Tram back to pan line Align pan Stop 2' away from pan Lower pan to bottom Turn duck bill scoop off Push 35' cable through pan line and flap back over towards the headgate Have ground man keep tension on the sling pulling slack back as pans are put into place Pick up pan Push pan into final position Shut duck bill scoop off Install the two dumb bells and keeper and one accu-trac pin and keeper Pull bottom chain every three sets of pans installed Repeat this process for approximately 250' or 25 sets of pan line Install top chain Repeat this process every 250' until you reach the tailgate drive location The last 12 pans will be specials and need to be put in order See diagram (Special pans are numbered) Install top chain Obtain box of chain with scoop Place 3' from last pan set Connect the 25 foot 1" wire sling to the chain with 1" clevis Install rock bar in the second hole of the chain box Connect the 25 foot 1" wire sling to the scoop with 1" clevis Tram the scoop toward headgate until box is empty The rock bar will need to be adjusted as layers of chains are pulled from the box Repeat this process every 250' until you reach the tailgate drive location Remove all debris and materials Duty 19:  Install Tailgate Drive Conduct exam Obtain and examine tools and materials Chisel Hammer Rags Ladies slipper Punch Screw driver 1" wire rope slings (25 and 35 feet) Rock bars T-boards Crib blocks 3/4" socket set (SAE and Metric) Allen wrenches (SAE and Metric) Obtain tailgate drive from storage location with duck bill scoop A ground man is required for this task Remove sprocket covers if not already done and lay in pan of tailgate drive Load with sprocket toward scoop operator Secure with scoop winch rope Tram the duck bill scoop battery first toward the face Back into crosscut across from pan line Tram drive toward pan line Stop about 2' before the pan line Shut scoop off Lower the drive to the bottom Push 1" cable connected to bottom chain through the drive under the sprocket Pick drive up Align the drive with the duck bill CAUTION:  Stay clear of pinch points while the drive is being installed Ground man should work from top of pan line See diagram for dog bone installation Install the dog bones Raise the pan line slightly Lower the drive onto four crib blocks Pull chain to couple Couple chain Some chain link couplers may be directional See diagram or photo(s) Remove all debris and materials Duty 20:  Install AFC Gear Boxes and Motors Conduct exam Obtain and examine tools and materials Chisel Hammer Rags Ladies slipper Punch Screw driver Rock bars T-boards Crib blocks 3/4" socket set (SAE and Metric) Allen wrenches (SAE and Metric) Obtain the gear box and motor with the 620 duck bill scoop Load gear box on the operator side of duck bill scoop with splines facing away from operator See diagram Tram the duck bill scoop bill first into the drive Align the gear box splines with the spline on the drive Remove the four bolts from the coupler on the drive Slide the coupler back Tram forward until it is in position Bolt the gear box and motor to the tailgate drive Install mounting bolts 30mm by 150mm Tighten bolts Slide coupler forward and align with splines Install lock bolts Install bed plate and gob plate Obtain bed plate with 620 duck bill scoop Load the bed plate with the shield eyes toward the operator Place bed pan on duck bill bottom down See diagram Secure with winch rope Tram into position Align and install six pins and three dog bones See diagram Obtain gob plate with 620 duck bill scoop and take to the tailgate Tram into position Use lo-trac to assist in aligning Install 30" keeper pin Remove all debris and materials Duty 21:  Install Stageloader Conduct exam Obtain and examine tools and materials Chisel Hammer Rags Ladies slipper Punch Screw driver 125 foot 3/4" wire rope sling Rock bars T-boards Crib blocks 3/4" socket set (SAE and Metric) Allen wrenches (SAE and Metric) 3/4" air impact wrench Obtain #1 stageloader pan with duck bill scoop Load with the side board on the operator's side of the scoop Secure with winch cable Tram into headgate Align pan #1 using the sigmas Install dog bones See diagram #1 drive motor and gear box  must be installed at this time Remove covers from NDR (stageloader tail roller) Slide covers from NDR (stageloader tail roller) Push 3/4" rope to the last joint of pan under the NDR (stageloader tail roller) Obtain #2 and #3 stageloader pan with duck bill scoop as a unit and install Load with the side board on the operator's side of the scoop Secure with winch cable Tram into headgate Stop scoop 2' from the connecting point Lower duck bill to bottom Shut off scoop Push cable to the end of pan Align pan #2 and #3 using the sigmas Install dog bones See diagram Obtain crusher with duck bill scoop and install Load with motor mount facing operator Secure with winch cable Stop scoop 2' from the last stageloader pan Set duck bill on bottom Shut off scoop Push 3/4" wire rope sling through crusher on bottom Set crusher in place aligning with sigmas Install dog bones and bolts See diagram Obtain top cover of crusher with lo-trac, load on forks Tram to crusher and set it on top Install bolts to fasten cover Obtain crusher motor with lo-trac Load with pulley and shaft away from the operator on the forks Tram the crusher motor to the crusher Align with mounting brackets Install pins Obtain covers with lo-trac See diagram  Belt covers V pulley cover Fly wheel cover Obtain Minnie master skid with lo-trac Load with the pin clevis away from operator Align with the mounts Lower into place Back lo-trac away Align with bar and pin Obtain Minnie master with lo-trac Set and pin in place Obtain and set goose neck with 620 duck bill scoop Load the goose neck with the smaller opening toward the scoop operator and the clevis away from the operator Secure in place with winch cable Tram to the crusher Stop 2' from the crusher Lower duck bill to bottom Shut off scoop Push 3/4" wire rope sling through bottom goose neck Align with scoop using sigmas Attach with two large pins Install C-clip keeper and two bolts Obtain and set stageloader drive with the 620 duck bill scoop Un-spool enough winch rope to go entirely through the stageloader drive Slide the duck bill under the discharge end of the stageloader drive Lower the mast on the duck bill Tram in until the end of the stageloader drive is about 1' from the duck bill mast Raise the tip of the duck bill until the end of the stageloader drive will clear the body of the scoop Tram forward slowly until the spline for the walk side motor is across from the operator Secure with winch rope through the top compartment of the drive Tram the scoop to the stageloader Stop the scoop 2' from the stageloader Shut the scoop down Push the 3/4" wire rope sling through the bottom compartment of the drive Loosen the winch cable and unhook Start the scoop Align the sigmas of the pan and the drive Tram forward slowly Tram forward until the lip on the bottom of the stageloader drive aligns with the goose neck Small adjustments can be made by tilting the duck bill up or down to get the bolt holes aligned CAUTION:  Do not work under or in close proximity of this  unsecured drive Shut scoop down Install side panel bolts Back the scoop about 3' so that the stageloader rests on the duck bill scoop bottom Lay duck bill flat on the bottom Shut off scoop Build a 6 X 6 crib on the duck bill approximately in the center of the drive This is to adjust the height to install the mobile tailpiece Raise the duck bill and the stageloader drive high enough for the mobile tailpiece to fit under the end Build a second crib 1' from the end of the duck bill Lower the duck bill so that the second install crib carries the weight of the drive Back the duck bill out of the way Disassemble crib on duck bill Remove all debris and materials
