Kidde Residential and Commercial (“Kidde”)
Kidde Announced Voluntary Recall of Industrial Fire Extinguishers
The Kidde 10 lb. industrial dry chemical fire extinguishers with black plastic Zytel® nylon valve assemblies and a welded steel neck collar cylinder which were manufactured between 1991 and 2000 have been voluntarily recalled. The UL standard requires an annual inspection of these fire extinguishers and a 6 year recharge by a professional service agency. Your professional fire extinguisher service company was notified of the recall and instructed to remove these units from service.

Safety Director's Helper
This web site contains non-traditional particiatory safety programs that draw on miners competitive spirit to participate. It is much more effective if you can sell a miner on safety rather than force it down his throat. MSHA is making these programs available for Safety Directors to stimulate miner participation in developing a strong safety culture at their mines.
