Incidents that could have resulted in a fatality, but did not.

05/14/2009
The injury of a teenager in Russellville called for a dramatic rescue Wednesday night.

It happened shortly after seven o'clock just off Shephard Drive and 100 feet down a bluff next to a rock quarry.

Emergency crews had to use ropes to climb down the bluff in an area not far from the Arkansas River.

Rescuers tell KARK 4 that the 17-year-old boy was airlifted to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

It's not yet known how the boy was injured. His condition is also unknown.
