"Near Miss" Accident Information File

One person was severely injured in South Sound, Wash., after an accident involving an all-terrain vehicle. The rider apparently hit a tree and had to be airlifted from a Weyerhauser gravel pit in the Tenino area to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle , according to a 9-1-1 dispatcher . Fire district personnel from the area and a team of paramedics responded to the accident. (Source: The Olympian)
