Accident Information File
A 44-year-old New Jersey man disappeared while scuba diving with instructors at a former limestone quarry in Lower Nazareth Township, Penn. Teams of divers scoured the 50-acre quarry, 100 feet deep in some parts, in a grid pattern with the help of underwater search cameras lowered from motorboats.
The 44-year-old victim, when found in 66 feet of water, still had half a tank of air and was not entangled in the quarry's submerged attractions, which include a sunken school bus, airplane and fire truck.
