MSHA’s Annual Training Resources Applied to Mining (TRAM) Conference returns on October 13-15, 2015, at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver, WV. This 3-day event features presentations from some of the industry’s most respected safety trainers and vendor exhibits showcasing innovative health and safety products and other tools of the trade. This tuition-free seminar provides opportunities for health and safety trainers to improve their training programs with new ideas and new materials. TRAM is a must for any mining and safety and health training professional looking to stay on the cutting edge of the industry.


The workshops cover a wide variety of topics pertinent to both metal/nonmetal and coal mine trainers. Participants may select from a variety of workshops to attend. Training Materials Competition

Training in today’s mining industry, more than ever before, is considered a foundational element in our relentless pursuit of improving mine safety. Through the years, the training materials competition has fostered a new level of professionalism in the development of training materials. This competition is open to all sources of mining-related training materials. This seminar will be held at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy, 1301 Airport Road, Beaver, West Virginia. The seminar begins at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, and ends at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015. (All participants, including those pre-registered, will be required to sign in at the seminar.)

The cafeteria hours for meals are: Breakfast from 6:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.; Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and Dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You may pay for meals in the cafeteria by cash, credit card, or check/money order.
