The Nevada Mining Association (NvMA) is pleased to announce the 2016 Metal and Nonmetal National Mine Rescue Contest (National Contest) will be held on July 25 – 28 in Reno, Nevada. We would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to participate.
The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) will provide the field, written and technical problems for this event. MSHA will judge the competition events and determine the competition winners. The contest will be comprised of four events: (1) 2 Days of Field; (2) Technician Team; (3) First Aid; and (4) Team trainer test. Each event will include a written examination. The competition will take place at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The deadline for registering is July 8, 2016.
Mine rescue teams in the United States provide the best trained and best equipped rescue capability in the world. We hope that your company will continue to show their support for mine rescue by participating in this year’s national competition.
