2016 TRAM / National Mine Instructors Seminar

Join us at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver, WV October 11-13, 2016 for MSHA’s Annual Training Resources Applied to Mining (TRAM) Conference! This tuition-free seminar provides opportunities for health and safety trainers to improve their training programs with new ideas and new materials. This year’s theme is “Tune Up Your Training!” and features presentations from some of the industry’s most respected safety trainers. Vendor exhibits showcasing innovative health and safety products and other tools of the trade make TRAM a must for any mining or safety and health training professional looking to stay on the cutting edge of the industry. The workshops cover a wide variety of topics pertinent to both metal/nonmetal and coal mine trainers. Participants may select from a variety of workshops to attend. Training Materials Competition

Training in today’s mining industry, more than ever before, is considered a foundational element in our relentless pursuit of improving mine safety. Through the years, the training materials competition has fostered a new level of professionalism in the development of training materials. This competition is open to all sources of mining-related training materials. The cafeteria hours for meals are: Breakfast from 6:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.; Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and Dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You may pay for meals in the cafeteria by cash, credit card, or check/money order.
