The summit is intended for all Coal Industry stakeholders in order to identify engineering controls and work practices which are used by or could be used to achieve and maintain required respirable coal mine dust levels.  The identified controls and work practices will be shared with the mining community. MSHA will consult with industry, labor, NIOSH, and other stakeholders to determine how these controls and best practices can be replicated in difficult circumstances in order to achieve similar results.
