Join us at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver, WV October 10 - 12, 2017 for MSHA’s Training Resources Applied to Mining (TRAM) Annual Conference! This year’s theme is “Tune Up Your Training with Modern Technologies!” and features presentations from some of the industry’s most respected safety trainers. This tuition-free conference provides opportunities for health and safety trainers to improve their training skills and infuse their training programs with new ideas and new materials. Participants may select from a variety of workshops to attend. The small group format encourages interaction between the participants and the workshop leaders. Vendor exhibits showcasing innovative health, safety, and training products make TRAM a must for any mining or safety and health training professional looking to stay on the cutting edge of the industry. The theme for TRAM 2017 is “Tune Up Your Training with Modern Technology!” While the workshops cover a wide variety of topics pertinent to both metal/nonmetal and coal mine trainers, we are particularly interested in presentations that place emphasis on training delivery incorporating computer-based instruction, virtual reality, and other modern technologies. Training in today’s mining industry, more than ever before, is considered a foundational element in our relentless pursuit of improving mine safety. Through the years, the training materials competition has fostered a new level of professionalism in the development of training materials. This competition is open to all sources of mining-related training materials.
