Training Plan Development
For your convenience, MSHA developed an Electronic Training Plan Advisor (eTPA) to assist operators with the development of their Part 46 and Part 48 Training plans. The eTPA is available on our website and it will electronically assist operators through the steps of developing a training plan. Operators are not required to utilize eTPA and may submit their training plan in any format that complies with the requirements of Part 46 or Part 48.

The sample training certificates in this section are strictly optional and only intended for Part 46. We are making the sample training certificates available as an alternative to utilizing the 5000-23 for Part 46 only. The 5000-23 (or an approved alternate) must be utilized for Part 48.
