The Oconee Fall Line Technical College Mine Safety and Health Training Program is a function of the Technical College System of Georgia.  The purpose of the Oconee Fall Line Technical College Safety and Health Training Program is to assist mine operators and mining contractors with their training and retraining of miners to prevent or reduce the frequency and severity of injuries in the Georgia mining industry.  Oconee Fall Line Technical College conducts training classes monthly on campus in Sandersville and Dublin. Other training sites are on-site at the mine or plant in areas such as training rooms or lunch/break rooms.  Other types of training assistance are provided through the Mine Safety and Health Training Program at Oconee Fall Technical College.  Each training class that is to be delivered at a specific mine is tailored in conjunction with company personnel.

Each year, the 30 CFR part 46 and 48 Annual Refresher training course is rewritten to reflect the needs of miners and contract employees and to address the concerns and identified health and safety problems in the mining industry.
