Inflation Act

How will penalties be adjusted in the future?

Under the 2015 Inflation Adjustment Act, the Office and Management and Budget (OMB) will issue guidance on or before December 15 of each year directing agencies to adjust their penalties for inflation before January 15 of the subsequent year, in line with the statutory formula.
