Inspections Data Set

Description:

The Inspections data set contains records of every mine inspection conducted by Mine Safety and Health Administration inspectors (Authorized Representatives).

What’s in the Data Set:

Each record includes:

• Mine Identification Number, which is the unique key for mine information
  • MINE_ID
• Event Number, which is the unique key for inspection
  • EVENT_NO
• The type of inspection
  • ACTIVITY_CODE
• The start and end dates of the inspection
  • INSPECTION_BEGIN_DT
  • INSPECTION_END_DT
• Type of samples collected

Notes:

• This data set does not include Compliance Assistance Visits (CAVs)
• The data set can be linked to other data sets using these key fields:
  • Mine ID – to connect it with the Mines data
  • Event Number – to connect it with the Inspections data
