The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology implemented a program in 2003 making mine health and safety training available for the South Dakota mining community. This program continues to provide training opportunities for miners and contractors working at mining operations throughout the State of South Dakota.
Miners, mine operators, and contract employees working at mining operations may attend classes offered in:
30 CFR part 48 Annual Refresher Training for surface or underground mining operations
30 CFR part 46 Annual Refresher Training
30 CFR part 46 and 48 New Miner Training.
